I moved to Mt. Pleasant in 1978 and fell in love with this neighborhood. I moved from a group house to my own home - it's been almost 29 years. My two children were born here and both went to Bancroft Elementary School. My oldest will be graduating from college this Spring. It's hard to believe! As a long time resident of Mt. Pleasant, I have seen Mt. Pleasant Street stagnant and struggle under the weight of over-restrictive voluntary agreements imposed coercively by a handful of residents without input from others. It's time for a change. We need a vibrant commercial strip that reflects the interests and desires of the whole community. That's why I am a member of Hear Mount Pleasant. Hear Mount Pleasant is committed to be open, inclusive and transparent. We can make change happen!

Claudia Schlosberg is a lawyer and active community member who has been a long time supporter of Bancroft Elementary School, where she and her husband run the yearly Christmas tree sale.
