I've lived in Mt. Pleasant for over 30 years and settled here, as did most people I know, because of its diversity of cultures and incomes. I can't think of anything more central to diverse cultures than their music - so why have we squelched the core of who we collectively are? Music bridges cultural gaps. I may not understand the language, but music communicates despite that shortcoming. I like all kinds of music and the people that come with it......have you ever noticed that everybody's smiling (well almost everybody..) when there's real live music being played? We could use a little more of that in Mt. Pleasant.
