One of the wonderful things about Mt. Pleasant has been its draw for young people, and as a longtime resident, I want to create an environment that will keep as many of them in the neighborhood as possible. And I remember that when I was their age, having access to live music was a very important part of where I wanted to spend my time. Wouldn't it be wonderful to create a warm and inviting atmosphere in this three-block area that will allow us all to enjoy music, one another, and welcome those who visit?

Dora Johnson has lived in Mount Pleasant since 1968, where she raised two children. She has been a long, active member of the Community of Christ Church located on Mount Pleasant Street.
